State to State Races: Maine, Maryland, Massachusettes, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana

All of the M's are in store for you today as we take a look at 8 states in the upcoming election. We can start with...

Maine- Maine's split districts will go to the democrats in 2008, with little worry. In the senate, Republican incumbant Susan Collins will have the fight of her life. That is certianly a race you should look at.

Maryland- There is little to talk about in Maryland this time around. It's 10 electoral votes are safe for the upcoming election, and there are no senate, governor, or competitive house races.

Massachusettes- Similar to Maryland, there is little to be said of this state. The GOP has little chance to win in Massachusettes, despite a couple of polls showing the race is close. In the senate, John Kerry (yes, that John Kerry) will also cruise to a victory.

Michigan- This state is expected to be a big battleground in this election cycle. Polls are tight, and candidates will pour money into winning this state. I give the democrat the slight edge. As for the senate, Carl Levin (D) will tag another easy victory for the Democrats. There is a house race to look at in district 7, where Tim Walberg (R) will try to defend his seat.

Minnesota- I don't think the GOP will put up a strong fight in the presidential race in 2008. The real races happen in the senate and house. In the senate, republican Norm Coleman will fight to defend his seat. Many pundits have this race really close, and is yet another race the GOP will be forced to fight to defend. Also a big race in district 3 you should pay attention to.

Mississippi- A good place for the GOP in the next election, it's 6 electoral votes are safe for them. It has two senate races this year, but both will likely go to the GOP.

Missouri- A place that the GOP is starting to lose it's grasp on, it should still hang on to win the presidential race. However, I expect a DEM win in the Governor race.

Montana- For the presidential and house races, the GOP is in great shape. In the senate and governor race, the Democrats are in great shape. Little more can be said of the state.

Again, if there is any incorrect or old information that I has been included to the pages, please let me know so that they can be corrected.

Stay tuned for: States that start with the letter N

Missippi, Missouri, and Montana
are STRONG REPUBLICAN in ideology states.

So...I say: REPUBLICANS WILL WIN BIG IN 2008

It amazes me that the more conservative electoral vote trackers still wont throw Michigan in tossup or slight McCain status...
despite the fact that it has only polled FOR Obama once in the last 100 days...the four most recent polls- surveyusa, epic, rasmussen and some college org all give mccain a +3.5 margin of victory right now

p.s. to finn:

I suppose the conservative electoral vote trackers have to wait til an actual dem nominee comes to be. (they say it's Obama, but they can't really be sure...so they are holding off with Michigan)

Once they know the dem nominee; they might begin giving thier opinions.

I believe Michigan will go to McCain as well as Wisconsin. Ohio also. FLORIDA without a doubt.
and yes, Iowa, will go for McCain.

By the way, the economy is coming around, and that too is going to help Mr. McCain.

Per Rasmussen, on economy, taxes,
national security, and our war on terror - McCain is most trusted.

I'm back. Funny thing...everyone is "excited" that a "black person"
is the nominee for President. I keep thinking of Martin Luther King Jr's words that went somewhat like: "I have a dream...that one day men will be judged by the content of thier CHARACTER and not by the color of their skin."

The content of their CHARACTER...
ie: moral [never changing] values.

Does this PERSON honor LIFE in all it's stages? From conception to natural death? Does this one understand what marriage is about...in terms of it being 'a special bond' of a special love - which brings new life to society? That man and woman marriage is all about THE love union that brings new life...GOD LOVE.

My vote is for the one with the
most CHARACTER values...the one
'closest to' understanding the spirit of truth of life.

Any person or 'party' that thinks
the un-born SOULS are not 'real'
are not in my opinion for 'the littlest guy'

p.s. - in all honesty, the President of the USA isn't supposed to be 'for' any ONE...

The president is supposed to have a clear understanding of what brings GOOD to a nation overall, and what does NOT...in the big picture.

HONORING NEW LIFE...brings GOOD
overall...aborting that life to appease 'one or 1,000' citizen's temporary dilemma' (which came about because of thier own free will action) DOES NOT bring G0(O)D
to a nation.

A leader who says "I will provide for you who don't have" is missing a crucial bit of truth. Independent adults provide thier own life on this earth. When as a nation we think 'any political party' is going to make life better, we are denying the truth of what makes a good life. RIGHT LIVING...hard work, prudent saving, FAMILY (flesh and blood family not 'government' falsely
claiming to be 'like family'

Putting onself into another human's hand for thier 'living'
does not make for independent living (freedom) but keeps one
a dependent of that other. (childISH of mind) That political figure, who provides holding 'the power' over 'you'...or so he thinks.

Life isn't always easy...but as Patrick Henry once said: "give me LIBERTY or give me death" (LIBERTY, freedom...to be and do and think for myself, rather than going along with wrong ideas in exchange for ... for... 'health'
insurance or a mere 'job?'
