Was Palin the Wrong Choice?

Hmm, I get the feeling that this pick is backfiring on John McCain. Truthfully, she is getting terrible press for all the wrong reasons as of late. A woman that CNN planted on the television today actually had the audacity to say that Sarah Palin was a bad mother. She blames Palin for her 17 year old daughter for getting pregnant, and also claims that she is a terrible parent because she has five children and that she should be putting her family first.

This is absolutely sickening. How does her daughter's pregnancy take away from her moral beliefs? I have had two brothers have children out of marriage, and I would be furious if some one would have the nerve to tell me I don't really hold true to my religious beliefs because of what they did. And Now, having too many kids is a cardinal sin when it comes to being a vice-president. I know that vice-president is a bit different from Governor of Alaska, but how is breaking the tying vote in congress more of a terrible task than taking on the problems of an entire state.

People also are on her for not having any foreign policy experience. Ahem, and Barack Obama has what experience? Amazing, the VICE-PRESIDENT nominee is taking a lot more heat than the PRESIDENTIAL nominee, despite the fact that she has more executive experience than Obama. How pathetic of the news media. How pathetic of people.

While she still isn't who I wanted to be the VP pick, here is someone that will show her a bit of respect.

wow, nice going "election junkie"

You speak the truth. The 'actions' of the children do not reflect back on 'the parent' ... not ever.
(or for that matter on any other member of the family.)

I agree with you, everyone is saying Sarah Palin has no foreign policy experience...we don't really know what experience she has til she speaks; but to criticize John McCain of taking someone with little experience because John comments on Barack's lack of experience is to miss a big issue. Barack is running for President against John McCain.
John has the experience Barack does not. If Barack 'dares' mention lack of experience...he's going to have to SPEAK on HIS EXPERIENCE which he cannot do, because he has none. [which he non verbally stated when he hired the
experienced political Senator Biden]

John affirmed without words, HIS EXPERIENCE will enable his VP choice to assist him in carrying out the duties of his office. Obama affirmed his lack of experience and NEEDS his VP.
There is a DISTINCT difference here that some 'don't see.'

and some think Sarah Palin should have gave up the opportunity to serve as VP to be a good mother to her daughter. I ask, when did any mother 'give up' a job that would benefit many in the household because of one person's actions?
Life must go on. Just as with God,
he LOVES always, but His grace is with those who live by His ways.
Oh, one can do what THEY WISH...
and God will always love because God can do nothing but love, but
GOD doesn't 'stop His plans' for the sake of many - for the sake of one. GOD KEEPS ON BEING GOD...God
keeps working.

and once again, I'm going to speak on how some 'think' Sen. McCain is
'too old' and that his VP will need to step in.

Stop the conjecture of 'what if'
because that's all it is. Sen. McCain's 71 years is YOUNG...

Just ask Sen. Byrd of Virginia - I don't see voters worried over his
91 years of age, nor about Sen.
Lautenberg of NJ, who is running again at the age of 84, and the people of Massachusetts never seemed concerned over Sen. Kennedy when he was 71 years of age - 5 years ago. [is age now relative to your party affiliation?]

McCain is as strong as any, PROBABLY STRONGER...anyone who can endure what he endured while serving his country in Vietnam, is
STRONG...by God's grace.

Some think he's not because he speaks quietly...quiet people are not WEAK...not at all.

Oh, and let's not forget Biden who is 66 years of age...soon to be
67 - apparently Sen. Obama is not worried that 'if' something were to happen to him...Biden would be
TOO OLD.

heh heh...yea; as a matter of fact,
in the 'hypocricy' of some of the "d" party who criticize McCain's age...they see no problem in Biden, Lautenberg, Kennedy, or Byrd. funny ain't it?

McCain is FINE...vote for him.

ANOTHER thought on age and our next President: John McCain.

Did you see his 96 year old mother stand right up at the convention when introduced? WHIZ-ZZZZZZ...no canes, no walker, STRAIGHT as a 'die'...no hunching. INCREDIBLE isn't it? Boy, if Sen. McCain hadn't picked Gov. Palin, he could just as well picked his 96 YEAR OLD mother.

"age" is but a state of mind.

There's another saying: with age
comes WISDOM...tis true. "youth"
may be book smart; but "youth" would do well to listen to those who have lived and learned and
grew in understanding of life.

Sen. McCain is EXPERIENCED in ways Obama has yet to come to grasp.
So has, to an extent - McCain's running mate. She is MORE EXPERIENCED than Obama. She has
'done' -- Obama 'talks' ... She
has become part of 'the executive branch' ... Obama is just now seeking it. [and basically they are the same age] Obama, should have tried running for GOVERNOR first, but Obama, inexperienced as he is, seeks 'the top spot' - this speaks of Obama's 'inexperience.'

It is like someone who graduates college with a B.A. wanting to move directly to CEO in a firm, any firm. Nice thought, but 'life is a progression of steps' and 'earning' CEO status.

Palin is an EXCELLENT choice - if you're a democrat. She knows absolutely nothing about McCain's policies and can do nothing but spout off the Party line. And - oh yeah, I almost forgot - she can see Russia from her house.
